Bailey is being spayed on monday

Postby Hannah » Wed Jan 07, 2009 1:39 pm

hi everyone, Bailey is getting spayed on monday, after quite a long wait and two seasons where shes been on heat, shes going. Origianlly we were going to do it before her first heat, and then at about 8 months we got a surprise when she had her first heat, we were then going to do it 6 weeks after that but time flew by and around came her second heat! Anyways, will let you know how everything gets on.

Hope all goes well too - she will be fine - Coco was a bit dopey for a day or two but bounced back pretty quick.  She didn't try to bite her stitches or anything which was great.  Went back to the vet last week to have her stitches out and they were very happy with the way she had healed :)

Let us  know how she gets on - sending big Coco kisses to Bailey xx

Everything went perfect. She went in a 8am and came out at about 4pm. Shes on painkillers now and we also had to get some special anti bacterial/infection shampoo for her paws as she chews on them alot and they get quite red and sore. She wasnt actually that dopey when she came out, quite excited and bouncey actually. Other than that everything is fabulous and she is now lying in her bed having a rest.
Thank you for all your lovely comments!

Hannah and Bailey :)

Yesterday she was a bit weak and sulky but this morning she was alot happier and pretty much back to her usual self, she has SO much energy but isnt aloud to jump or run or anything, i think she's a bit annoyed.    ::) shes eating and drinking normally too so everything seems to be great!!  :)
Thanks

Hi Hannah. Pleased Bailey ok. We found hardest part (Apart from leaving maddy at vets) was a couple of days after when she felt better but still wasn't allowed to jump around. Lucky time passes quickly. It is a great photo of her.  :)

Riley got neutered and microchipped today. Is feeling very sorry for himself at the moment but mainly because he is on bed rest when he really wants to be outside chewing up the paper recycling. He wasn't interested in dinner but apparently tomorrow his appetite should be back to normal.
I have never seen Riley so subdued. It was very strange when he was at the vets today - the house was so quiet without him.

go riley and have a nice time being spoiled! - i remember when dolye had his snip snip - i was so tense and burst into tears when the vet rang to say he did fine and we could bring him home in a couple of hours... when we got him home he just had a look of 'what's all the fuss about' lol
